Hi, I'm Boro, half Mexican, half Spanish, living in Vienna.

I've worked with a wide range of clients, from Creative Directing a Post-Partum Punk band for angry mothers, to consultancy for hardware tech companies aimed at Hot People, to branding software that's trying to solve the Housing Crisis.

✐ As a Designer, I'm also Creative Director for an award winning Branding Studio. We've done work for a bunch of impressive companies, big (SAAB, Netflix) and small. It's called OIL Studio, you should check it out.

In consulting ✄, I've worked for physical and digital games developers, music, film & TV (where I got to meet Sir David Attenbourgh, thanks BBC!). I also worked for Universal Music in London as their Innovation Manager. That was quite interesting.

 

Some of my favourite projects have to do with physical → Traveling through the Mexican desert, finding mezcal producers for a regenerative agriculture mezcal brand. (I also got to design their bottle. Turned out beautiful.) → Visualisation and design of a small penthouse in the heart of Athens. → Concept, Development, Design and Execution of a cool bar in Vienna. → Establishing the production line for a leather goods company between México and Spain. Among many others.

Many years ago, I studied a joint Masters between the RCA and Imperial College London, where I was awarded the James Dyson Foundation grant for my work on programmable bindings.

 

Part of me only ever thinks in Speculative Design and Systems, where ▧ inneficiencies stand out like coriander in a dish. The ❍ other part always thinks in Stories, enjoys inneficiency, Paints and draws.

I also play chess ♔ and am into running.
